Bridlegrove article

...Life for teens living near Morecambe Gate and Chester Le Boulevard in Scarborough is less enjoyable than your average Toronto neighbourhood. Shawn Cuthill, youth minister of Bridlegrove Bible Chapel, has grown close to the teens in his area since he moved to Scarborough in 2003. But there are still many challenges to overcome...

Omar Morrison, 16, a high school student at Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute, regularly attends Cuthill’s Friday night gatherings...“We don't have any community centre close by, so we play at the church, which is great because we get snacks and we talk about God,” Omar said...

The Groove is On

So ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages. It's finally here! Bridlegrove Day Camp 2006!
Bridlegrove Daycamp THE MOVIE
Sizzle as the Co-director & Jr. High Director
Cola also as the Co-director & CIT Cooridinator
Yetti as the Senior Program Director and honorary celebrity
Peace as the Junior Program Director

also starring:
Vortex as the editor of The Spandex Times
Goggles as the lead marine biologist & camp Pharmacist
Smiles who the inspiration behind the hit sitcom series 'Happy Days' (She put the Fonz in Fonzie)
Skittlez as the local jazz player for the The Bridle Groove band. She is also the heir to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory.
Pablito as the expert on Spanish cuisine and in his spare time he enjoys venturing through the vast and deep jungles of the amazon.

In a brown building far far away.... actually really really near by..because far far away has already been taken. There were 9 very prospective No Frills employees, who believed that fine dining should be enjoyed by all. So they flowered they children at the camp with different foods.
The next week, the 9 felt that more adventure was needed to 'spice up' the camp as Pablito would say. So they entered the whole camp into the popular hit reality series "The Amazing Race." Travelling to places like Paris, France; Cairo, Egypt; The Great Wall of China; and Pablito foreced all to go the Amazon because for some reason he enjoys venturing through vast and deep jungles.
While, in the thickest parts of the Amazon, Smiles had an amazing thought. "When we get back, we are holding the Olympics at Bridlegrove!"
And so we did.
The week after that, Vortex was inspired and called the President of the Indy 500, Mr. Ken Anderson himself. "Mr. Anderson," Vortex began, "We at Bridlegrove Daycamp would like to host the Indy 500 this summer."
"Sure son, we would love to come to Canada this year, instead that drab old Indiana State."
So it was settled.
The next week, the infamous Bridlegrove Daycamp was becoming exceeedingly popular. So in light of this great opportunity, Cola headed up the "3rd Annual Bridlegrove Film Fest."
It was a hit, celebrities such as Russell Johnson, Denzal Washinton, Martha Stewart, Dr, Philoprah, and many many many many more!
The children were starting to become restless, so the fellowship of the 9 decided to install a challenge: the week was knighted 'Competition week". There was sweat, blood, and tears. But only one team would prevail...TEAM STAPLE GUN. (That's Yetti and Peace.)
So coming down to the end of it all, friendships were made, and fun was had by everyone.
So to celebrate the end and the beginning of new and renewed friendships, we decided to throw eggs off the top of the building.

And they all live Happily ever After! actually IT ROCKED! because happily ever after has already been taken.
